Hand e-Craft
This research investigates hand-use in digital and hand craft. It explores the ways in which hand-use in making processes impacts upon creative thinking and how digital technology can support creative practice.
AHRC funded research: A collaborative research project with the fine artist Charlotte Hodes, Reader at the London College of Fashion
A collaborative investigation into the role of the hand craft and digital processes within creative practice was funded by the Arts and Humanities Research Council in 2007. This project documents the development of a body of work for Hodes exhibition in ‘Drawing Skirts: an exhibition of new papercuts by Charlotte Hodes’ held at the Northumbria Gallery and Baring Wing, Newcastle University, in April 2008
A video made during the research process was shown in the gallery along side the artworks.
